Annual Enrolment
Enrolment as a PhD student happens in two parts: You must register both in the DS BMIC and in a higher education and research institution.
These two enrolments must be renewed every year.
Re-enrolment at BMIC is conditional each year on the presentation of a proof of funding covering the coming year (or until the date of the viva for the final year of the thesis) and the report of the thesis monitoring committee for the past year.
Documents to be signed in the 1st year : Students enrolled in the first year must sign the Rules and Regulations and the UDL PhD charter:

Thesis registration is possible all year round. PhD students who will defend from 1st October will have to re-enrol for 2023/2024.
Please note! Registrations and re-registrations will no longer be made on Siged, but on another system, Adum.

ADUM. What is it ?
ADUM allows you to:
- Access to your file for the duration of your PhD
- Re-enrol each year at the DS
- Declare online any activities, training or mobility that enhance your PhD
- Enrol for the multidisciplinary training courses of the University of Lyon
- Enrol for training courses dedicated to doctoral students-teachers
- Access a collaborative space dedicated to PhD students, a virtual office and an @universite-lyon.fr email address
