How to become a Research Team
The membership of a new BMIC research team is subject to the decision of the DS Committee on the basis of a "BMIC DS Research Team Application File". This file includes:
- the composition of the team applying
- the complete list of their work
- a presentation of their scientific objectives
- a cover letter explaining the reasons and context for the request
- details on the supervising experience of the team leader and possibly members with accreditation for supervising research with a list of co-publications with the students being supervised
- if no such accreditation, a proposed strategy and timetable for obtain it or for applying for supervision without accreditation for the first PhD student
Criteria used
- the adequacy of the theme of the applicant team with the scientific contours of the DS BMIC (see the "presentation" tab then "what is the DS BMIC")
- the real potential for supervising PhD students (number of members with accreditation for supervising research and permanent staff°
- the quality of its publications.
